I studied photojournalism and graduated with a Bachelors degree from Ball State University. I freelanced for local newspapers in Indiana and continued my freelance career in Portland, Oregon. When I started to photograph weddings, I fell in love with it. I have been photographing weddings for seven years. I have lived in Portland, Oregon for four years now. I am married and I have no children, but I do have the world’s greatest black lab.

"Love the work you did for my daughter Kristen’s wedding. I know that Kristen was very particular in choosing her photographer given she has a degree in photojournalism herself. She understands the importance of capturing not only a photograph but being able to document the story that lies behind the pictures. Her comments to me when she chose you were 1. She has experience as a photojournalist. 2. She’s from the midwest so she will “get” us and our culture. 3. I’m impressed with her work I’ve viewed. This is saying a lot and I don’t believe you disappointed her. Thanks so much for capturing the story of her and Justin’s wedding day so beautifully. -Karen, Mother of Bride "
