Mark Sobhani has more than 15 years experience as a professional photojournalist. He began his career as a newspaper photographer, spending nearly ten years working for the San Antonio Express News.
During that time, he covered assignments of all types — from NBA Championships to Presidential Campaigns and the Iraq War — winning numerous prestigious awards for his work.
In early 2009, Mark left the newspaper industry to focus on being a full-time Wedding Photojournalist.
Covering weddings, Mark uses the same skill set he’s honed throughout his career. He lives by the mantra: “Bring back photos, not excuses.” To that end, he always arrives early and stays late. Mark Sobhani Photography does not charge by the hour for this very reason — when you hire Mark, you get him for the entire day!
His style is decidedly candid. He has a knack for seeing beyond the ordinary and finding the details that make each wedding unique. He will tell the story of your day as it unfolds with a real, yet intimate, perspective.
