Rachael received her Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism from Columbia College Chicago in 1999. She had three internships in the newspaper industry with the Pioneer Press, Chicago Tribune and Visual Edge 1998. Rachael began her photography business under the name Rachael Silvers Photography in 2001 and rebranded the business name to Metropolitan Imageworks to compliment her husband's video production company in 2006. Rachael is a top ten placement winner in two quarterly competitions through the WPJA.

The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Rachael Michael. The following awards have been earned by Rachael from the WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests.
