From sea to sea...Tracy Turpen was born in Hilo, Hawaii and is now an international, award-winning photographer based in North Carolina. Tracy graduated top three in her class at Appalachian State University with a BS in Technical Photography in 2006. She dove into the wedding photography world straight away, full of passion and a thirst to create images that her clients would treasure forever. Since then Tracy has traveled down her local neighborhood streets and as far away as New Zealand to capture these beautiful, fun parties. Her photos have caught the attention of numerous publications and art directors, including a cover feature with Carolina Bride and a two day shoot with Transylvania County's Dept. of Tourism. Tracy's distinctive approach to wedding photography is to focus in on the emotions of the day. She prefers to concentrate on the natural, unscripted, flow of events and capture special moments as they unfold organically. This approach allows her to create images that reflect the unique character of her clients and their weddings. Each wedding is an adventure and each couple inspires her work.
