Alison is a wedding photographer whose background is in photojournalism. She graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with degrees in Journalism and English. Before launching her wedding photography business in 2007, Alison worked with news publications including Sports Illustrated, the Oakland Tribune, the Modesto Bee, Tacoma News Tribune and the Durham Herald Sun. Alison deeply values visual storytelling as a way of bringing people together and photographing weddings are almost the purest forms of that. Her photography has taken her all over the world to work on projects including one on life in the Atacama Desert in Chile. She loves meeting and working with people of all different backgrounds. In her spare time, Alison loves outdoors activities, particularly swimming in the ocean and hiking. A native of Los Angeles, Alison loves photographing weddings throughout the state of California.,
