Based in the Central Valley of California, Cary Edmondson splits his time photographing weddings, professional sports and working as the university photographer for Fresno State. Prior to taking the position at Fresno State, Cary worked as the photographer for California State University, Stanislaus where he won 3 International CASE awards for his photography work, including the Grand Gold award for the Photographer of the Year in 2009. Before becoming a university photographer, Cary also worked as a photojournalist for newspapers in the state of Florida, Nevada and California where he won multiple state awards from the Nevada Press Association and the California Newspaper Publishers Association. His work has been appeared in such publications as Sports Illustrated, USA Today, ESPN the Magazine, Maxim, and the Los Angeles Times.
