I was taking photos for the preparation of the bride who had enjoyed herself in a swimming session in the sea, in front of the hotel where the wedding was organized. I was changing the camera objective when I saw one of the bride's friends trying to take a special photo with her wearing a slightly opened bathrobe. I didn't know when I took the second camera which had the objective on (I checked it to be on partial metering and centered on auto focus and I pressed the shutter button of my camera at the same time as the bride's friend). The swimming suit hung on the window handlebar bothered me at first, but then I realized that it was helpful in humorously completing the story. ,

I was in a mountain little town. During the ceremony the weather was good although the sky was covered. When I got into the old town center for a photo session the thick rain had already started. We decided to go in a sheltered place nearby. The bride's and groom's silhouettes play on the wet sidewalk inspired me to capture a few unusual photos. I shot several times walking in parallel with them, trying to keep their pace. I used 2/3 diaphragm exposure for making the couple's shadows more dramatic. ,

In that part of the country it is customary to make the last adjustments to the bride's preparations in front of a mirror that is held by the bridesmaid and the best man. After the godparents finished arranging the bride and the groom, they made a role change and so the bride and groom, helped by a few guests, made some adjustments to the godparents. The smiles on their faces were caused by the bride who perfumes the godmother's decolletage. The photographic challenge was quite big. I had to photograph in the mirror, but also to compensate for the light coming through the window. I set the camera on aperture priority and an overexposure of 2/3 and on the blitz I used a light diffuser that I set on the second curtain and normal exposure. ,

Aurel Virlan offers the following wedding coverage packages.
$1200 - Full Wedding Package
I offer more than 700 level signature photographs on customized DVD (plus one extra copy of it). ?
Moments included: ?
- preparation of bride and groom;
?- civil ceremony;
?- religious ceremony;
?- a dedicated professional photo session with bride and groom;
- reception, candid portraits and natural moments on the wedding.
$1500 - Full Wedding package plus Digital Album.
This package is the same as *Full Wedding Package*, plus one 12" x 12" format / 40-pages Album.
?The Album will be printed on Kodak Endura Photo Paper.
?I will tell the story of new couple in more than 100 pictures.
$250 - Trash the dress
This will be a very special photo session with bride and groom, a few days or weeks after the wedding day.
In this photo-session both bride and groom can be spontaneous, natural, freed from the stress of the wedding day. ?
They can sit on stairs or sand, jump in water, or otherwise let their imagination free.
?After this 2-3-hour photo session, I will provide the couple with more than 50 outstanding photographs.
The price of 250 $ is a special one for the couples whose wedding photojournalist I was.
For all the other clients, the trash the dress photo session price is 350 $.
