My interest in photography began when I would help my father develop and print his black and white photos in a darkroom set up in the spare room. The magic of watching an image slowly appear on a piece of paper has never left me, even if the smell of the chemicals and working in the dark no longer applies. I have been a photographer all my working life, from early days working as a freelance for The Daily Telegraph and Independent newspapers, to a self-assigned feature and travel photographer selling my work via international picture agencies. I now prefer to spend my time with friends and family in Scotland, and photographing the good things in life - weddings, landscapes, families.
