Cindy Brown
Atlanta Wedding Photojournalist Dr. Cindy Brown has more than 25 years experience in the field of photojournalism, including staff photography positions at the St. Petersburg Times and Pensacola New Journal. She has also worked as a picture editor for the Indianapolis Star.
Cindy earned a Masters in Journalism and PhD in Mass Communication with concentrations in Visual Communication and Ethics before teaching photojournalism at several different colleges and universities. She earned her most recent of five degrees, a Masters of Divinity, at Emory University where she received a Woodruff Fellowship. Read More...

Members of the wedding party were walking from the ceremony to the front of the home for group photos. I loved the light and the repetition of the lines in the railings in the background, as well as the repetition of people on different planes in the photograph.

A young boy decided to throw a blanket over his head while dancing during the reception. I had my assistant holding the key flash on a light stand off to the left. The light and positioning of bodies in the background, the texture in the pink dress, as well as the cut off heads of the adults give this photo a bizarre sense of mystery, which I love.

I accept only one wedding commission on any given day so I can devote all my attention to telling the story of your day. I work with an assistant, who also takes photographs part of the time he or she works with me.
