David Perkins
I have been established as a wedding photographer since 2001 and have photographed around 500 wedding assignments. I find a lot of the people I work for are artistic and creative with a good eye for detail. Much of my work comes through word of mouth and by recommendation.
I am inspired by the work of Martin Parr, Sun-chang Lo and Edward Weston. I have been married to Sally since 2002 and we have 4 wonderful children, 3 girls and a boy. I live in Wolverhampton just a few miles from Birmingham, West midlands. I regularly visit London and and happy to travel for wedding assignments.

12th Place: Kids (being kids) - 2011 Q1 ContestPhotographer's Comment
I saw the boy making faces at the three girls inside the window just a moment before so I began walking over to get the square on shot of the window... I was just in time to get this shot, I love the stance of the boy.

16th Place: Bride Getting Ready - 2010 Q3Photographer's Comment
This was definitely a case of hanging back and waiting for the right moment. The light was falling from a large window of to my right which was perfect for the scene. I took a few closer shots of the boy attempting his tie but decided to pull back and wait for the scene to evolve. When after a moments the young bridesmaid joined for some dress adjustments I knew I would be likely to get a result. It turned out to be one of my favourite photographs of 2010.
