Sarah Tew
Sarah Tew has been shooting weddings in her signature style since 2003 and currently works throughout New York City and neighboring states. An avid photographer since childhood, she graduated from Wesleyan University with high honors in 2001, and furthered her artistic studies in photography and graphic design at Parsons in New York City and assisted established photographers for a few years and then dove in to business herself. Sarah truly loves her carreer and all that it entails-- from engagement shoots to album design to customer service. She keeps a beautiful sunlit studio where she shoots maternity portraits and meets with her wedding clients. Her personal work has been exhibited in NYC and beyond, most recently in a solo show of documentary photography at the Queens Museum of Art. With images published in TimeOutNY, The New York Times, Today's Parent, NY Post, and was recently filmed shooting for a broadcast on National Geographic Network. She continually pursues projects that interest her intellectually and artistically while bringing her wedding photography career into full bloom. Maintaining variety in her work has enabled her to keep the joy of shooting weddings fresh. She's an active member of the PPA and the WPJA.

10th Place: Creative Portrait - 2009 Q2 Contest
The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Sarah Tew. The following awards have been earned by Sarah from the WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests.

The A La Carte Menu starts (at $4500) with wedding day coverage by Sarah and one assistant photographer, your image collection on archival discs, rights to print, a convenient image reference book, and an album credit. Within 1-2 weeks of your wedding the online gallery (password protected) will go live and I'll post a slideshow of favorites. An engagement shoot and sign-in album is always included. I offer additional services and options (photobooth, extra hours) if you wish to expand upon the foundation coverage.
I take pride in offering a variety of the most beautiful and well-made albums to satisfy the most discriminating couple's taste and vision, and I *love* designing custom books of my work. I am always searching out brilliant new products to offer my clients. Through an extensive A La Carte Menu my clients are able to augment their package to include extra hours of coverage, a photobooth at the reception, parent gift albums, print collections, slideshow discs, wall displays, as well as save the date or thank you cards and much more.
Wall portraits are available as framed works, or more modern hangings may be face mounted on plexi, printed on metal, or lighter canvas gallery wraps. Custom paintings can be created from an image of your choice, as digital artistry is one of my passions.
