Sarah Whitmeyer
Sarah Whitmeyer was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina where she graduated from Broughton High School. She went on to study photojournalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her BA in photojournalism in 2005. While interning under acclaimed photographer, Missy Mclamb, Sarah became interested in wedding photography and portraiture. Sarah began to shoot weddings on her own in 2005 and added Associate Photographers to Whitmeyer Photography in 2008.

A moment before this frame was taken, I noticed the flower girl trying to get someone's (probably her mom) attention. I started taking photos of that and then when she got whomever's attention she was trying to get, she lit up and waved at her! So cute! Right place, right time.

We had a heads up that the groom was going to do this because we documented him earlier taping his shoes, so this shot was anticipated! I could've never imagined, however, that the reactions would be this great. Really, she had no idea!
