I didn’t like the photographs from my own wedding. They were boring and said nothing about Fiona and I and our wedding. Back then I was a keen amateur photographer who loved to document everything I saw and I thought, hey, wedding photography shouldn’t have to be like this. When I set up my wedding photography business in 1999 I decided from the outset to offer clients a different option to the usual traditional style of wedding photography. I document about 40 weddings per year in very natural reportage style, taking photographs of everything and everyone as events unravel through the day to tell the story of your wedding as it happened. I am based in Glasgow but have roots in the North of England and regularly enjoy traveling south to photograph weddings in an equally beautiful part of the UK.

I like to work with people who are interested enough in their wedding to give the planning a bit of creative thought but without organizing a wedding based upon all the things people have told them they do. Weddings here in the UK can easily be boring - I want to photograph days that are fun, interesting and, maybe, just a little bit different!
