Exceptional wedding photojournalism from an experienced professional whose photographs have appeared in Time, Newsweek, People, Vogue and many other publications. John’s work has also been used as an album cover by Johnny Cash, and been included in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London, England.
Besides being a wedding photojournalist & portrait photographer, John has worked extensively in the movie business, photographing celebrities for the major Hollywood studios and TV networks. He has been sent on assignment to many locations around the world.
Storytelling is John’s calling. And his focus as a photographer has always been people - both those that are quite famous, and those that are extraordinary in more accessible and personal ways.
This has led him to the unique creativity and storytelling found in wedding photojournalism, which he has enjoyed for over ten years now. John finds it very inspiring to be given the opportunity to bring his experience to so visual and meaningful an occasion as a couple's wedding day.

WPJA Achievements
The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of John Seakwood. The following awards have been earned by John from the WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests. Stringent standards are upheld throughout the contests, standards equivalent to those of professional working photojournalists.

John's pricing policy is flexible. His usual arrangement is to quote a price for photographing a wedding separate from any products. That way, a couple can have the freedom to decide what items they might want after they see the photographs created for them. Read More...
