Sarah Tew has been shooting weddings in her signature style for 5 years throughout New York City and beyond. An avid photographer since childhood, she graduated from Wesleyan University with high honors in 2001, and furthered her artistic studies at Parsons in New York City. Read More... After a few years spent as a teacher she dove into as full-time freelance photography and has been truly happy ever since. She keeps her own studio in Long Island City, just over the bridge from Manhattan, where she meets with couples and shoots maternity and infant portraiture. Best known for her documentary style, Sarah also routinely impresses couples and their guests with dynamic and unique engagement portrait sessions, and the beautiful guestbooks she creates from them.
Her personal work has been exhibited in NYC and beyond, most notably in a solo show at the Queens Museum of Art. Recently she was filmed photographing for a National Geographic Channel special to be aired in August, 2009. With images published in Popular Photography, The New York Times, NY Post, TimeOutNY and others, she continually pursues projects that interest her intellectually and artistically, and keeps a blog about her photographic adventures at http://sarahtew.wordpress.com. She's an active member of the PPA, the WPPI, and the WPJA.
