My earliest memory in life is climbing a lemon tree in the back yard where my family lived until I was 3 years old. It occurs to me...at I remember nothing else about that age, and I suspect I have only kept that memory because it was captured on film and put in a childhood photo album.
As I think back to treasured memories even in the past 5 to 10 years and I realize the ones that are still most alive and vivid are ones that have been captured in photographs. This is the reason I love wedding photography; it is a great responsibility and privilege to capture events and personality in a way so that the memory will remain authentic and tangible. Read More

I am just one of the lucky few who picked up a camera and never put it down.I graduated with a BA in photography from Brooks Institute... Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. I worked in California for a while retouching images and then high tailed my way back east to do my own thing. On a typical day you'll find me either shackled to my computer by a very short chain or actually exploring the outside world. I enjoy doing all parts of the photo process, from the shooting to the editing to retouching and album design. I have a photojournalistic style most of the time but still like playing with portraiture to get a fun image.

I have photographed over 300 weddings over the last 10 years, all unique and different, but the one constant is emotion. I have a...ssion for capturing that emotion, bringing my clients back to that moment in time over and over again. My background in photography dates back further than I can remember, as my father was a very successful commercial photographer. He taught me more than just how to use a camera--he taught me to see. I am also a member of WPPI and the Digital Wedding Forum.Read More

Separated into two regions, the Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula, Michigan offers couples with a variety of options for their wedding ceremony and wedding photography locations. Michigan is nestled by 4 of the 5 massive Great Lakes: Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior, and is also bordered by Lake St. Clair, giving you ample options for your wedding destination and wedding photographs. Alaska is the only other state that has as much water as this beautiful state. Michigan shares bodies of water and neighbors both Ohio and Indiana. While Minnesota and Wisconsin lie to the west, Ontario, Canada neighbors Michigan on the east and north, making this state a distinctive area to chose your wedding location. The Upper Peninsula contains heavily forested areas and is has a more mountainous region to the west, including the Porcupine Mountains. The Lower Peninsula, which is shaped like a mitten, contains the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, a stunning destination that reveals nature’s beauty both in the warm and cold seasons. In central Michigan, you will find the state capital of Lansing, which is decorated with historical locations, while the city of Detroit is the largest city in Michigan, known for its automotive factories and popular music, giving it nicknames of Motown and Motor City. Your wedding photographer will be able to bring a creative touch to such spectacular surroundings of water, history and nature that will be sure to make your wedding celebration a most memorable event.
Some of the best Michigan fine art wedding photographers are now just a click away through the Artistic Guild of the WPJA!
