Bio: For Ian Grant, taking photographs is not only a skill sharpened over the years, it‚s in his heritage. Ian comes from a rich tradition of documentarians- his grandfather, a videographer with a vast basement vault of town history and his father, a professor of photography with a infinite collection of vintage cameras. Taking portraits allowed Ian to meet new people and express their stories. It‚s about capturing the sentiment and pulling out people‚s natural qualities to make a beautiful picture. Ian wants everyone to look their best, whether he lends them the shirt off his back or climbs the nearest tree to get the best shot his enthusiasm for his craft shows in his photographs. Indeed everyone who shoots portraits with Ian says they feel immediately comfortable in his presence. His work has been featured in Rollingstone, Mademoiselle, Netguide, The DIY/HGTV Networks and MSNBC.
