From the first day you gave me the chance to join WPJA I felt I found my
soul mates in photography. The spontaneity, emotions and truth reflected in
the photographs of WPJA members gave me joy because since then I could
rarely see wedding photographs of such honesty. I feel privileged I joined
the community you founded and I thank you for that. Before even knowing the
existence of WPJA (you see I live some thousands kilometers away from you!),
whenever I shared my point of view on wedding photography with some
professional wedding photographers in Greece, I received their contempt.
They regarded wedding photography as a boring job which could offer nothing
to the photographer except money. On the other hand, fine art photographers
could never believe that wedding photography could have artistic virtues.
But WPJA proved that there are some wedding photographers out there who
enjoy capturing the happy moments of couples, who are passionate with
photography, who have artistic values and last but not least offer quality
services to their clients.
The community you founded gives joy to both photographers and couples
to be married. You should be happy for that! Please, have in mind that I am
on your side.
If you choose one of our WPJA Greece wedding photojournalists
as your wedding photographer, please let them know you found
them through the Wedding Photojournalist Association.
The WPJA at a glance: The Wedding Photojournalist Association
puts the best Greek wedding photographers at your fingertips, by granting membership only to the most talented professional
wedding photographers in the world--photographers who focus
solely
on using their documentary photography skills to capture the
moments of your wedding day.
The Artistic Guild of the WPJA puts some of the best fine art wedding photographers at your fingertips! The AG takes the world-renowned artistic approach of WPJA wedding photojournalists to yet another level through post-production processing (usually Photoshop). AGWPJA photographers define artistic wedding photography!
BRIDES MAGAZINE & the Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly present a Wedding Photojournalism Contest.
The WPJA/BRIDES Wedding Photojournalism Contest spotlights the finest images from the best wedding photojournalists on the pages of one of the most world-renowned wedding publications and the web sites of the WPJA and BRIDES.
For most brides and grooms, wedding photojournalism is no longer a trendy alternative to traditional wedding day photo-coverage; rather, it is mainstream wedding photography. The WPJA has been leading the way in promoting and rewarding photographers who excel in capturing the un-styled and un-scripted moments of the wedding day. More and more couples are seeking out the top wedding photojournalists in the world through the WPJA web site.
