I shoot around 20 weddings per year. This gives me time to get close to my couples and get to know them as people, more than clients.
My typical couple are very relaxed yet professional. They view wedding photographs as being so important, but are much more interested in actually enjoying their wedding day than standing having your picture taken.

At the age of 7 Marianne had saved up enough pocket money to buy her first camera, she still has the first images developed from that...mera. It was the beginnings of a life time love of photography, leaving school Marianne went on to college studying photography where she developed her skills in the studio.
Her photography and studio skills have been enhanced by further studies as a mature student at a specialist photography college.
Marianne also regularly attends workshops and seminars and keeps her self up to date with the latest techniques and innovations.
Whilst working at a picture agency, Marianne was head hunted by Swedish Television and worked for them for 14 years as a Picture Editor. Marianne was later to became part of Swedish Television's Press and Communications department where she was involved in countless television productions filmed on location and in the studio, her duties being that of Photographer, Picture Editor and Communicator.
Marianne now runs a successful wedding photography business together with her partner Mark, who is a WPJA member. She travels regularly between England and Sweden photographing weddings in both countries and loves every minute of it. Read More

I started shooting at age 11, when I got my hands on the first camera. Documentary photography caught my eye, starting with the cats...ports events, backyard views and my sister, who always ran away from the camera. The fact is, the photographer was born.
At age 14 I got acquainted with color photography. Actually, the images were not full color. They turned out to be blue and I still blame the Kodak minilab for that. Two years later the first success showed up: I received a FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art) award.
During the last year of school I started to cheat on my love (the Photography) and accepted the proposal to work in television as a cameraman. I turned out to be too creative for broadcasting standards, so I left television and returned back to my old love (the Photography).
Since then, for the last 12 years, I have been walking hand in hand with photography, and will never let it go. The first wedding I shot was organized by the top wedding planners of that time, which was a lucky coincidence for me. However, I was still thrown in the middle of the high way of this business and had to find the way out myself, the only tools I had were my talent, the camera and a fine selection of lenses.
In year 2009 I discovered both North America and Australia, and the weddings there were a completely different story, I was stunned, and again all I had were my good old tools my talent, the camera and even finer selection of lenses. I wouldn't trade the gained experience to anything.
During this time I've covered lots of wedding ceremonies and have learned that they are completely different; even though the wedding gown or the venue is the same, the result is always unique. I have had a life-long interest in photography. I completed four years at Art School studying Graphic design to Diploma standard. I...ined an Associate membership of the Typographical Society through a competition. I was shortlisted to ten runners up nationally for the Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) for an art piece. I completed a 4 year combined honors degree in French and Fine Art at Exeter University, UK.
I studied in the Photography Department of Fine Art. Part of my year abroad I was at Nantes Ιcole de Beaux Arts where I completed a dissertation on a comparative study on newspaper journalism. I became very interested in photojournalism. I trained as newspaper photographer at local newspapers for six months, then news and sports agencies.
I gained the industry recognized NCTJ certificate in Press photography in Sheffield, then worked freelance in Press and PR with a small amount of weddings through clients and agencies.
I have been published in The Times, Daily Express amongst other national and local magazines and web news agencies. I am a member of the NUJ and EPUK.
I have a passion for photography and prefer to work in an unobtrusive way. I currently work freelance for press and PR and for the weddings I continue to shoot in a photojournalistic style as an associate of David Pullum Photography. Getting the opportunity to take creative pictures and to meet people from different cultures was what lured Kicki in to wedding photography...icki got her interest in photography when she was 15. Her first boyfriend had a SLR and dark room equipment. She got fascinated by watching the images appear on blank pieces of paper in the dark room and also learned the photographic techniques quickly.
Shortly after she picked up on photography she managed to get a job as a assistant at a photo studio in Stockholm. There she learnd about the basics of photography and at the age of 23, Kicki was head of the studio. The wish for a full time job, instead of freelancing, brought her to the department of forensic investigation (called KRIM or CSI in Sweden) where she worked for twelve years with highlighting and photographing evidence for the forensics. Through her job she got a scholarship to an education in Schweiz, where she studied lightning techniques.
The experiences she got from CSI taught her to give even the slightest details attention. The work of highlighting evidence with multiple light sources gave her a very good technical competence and she learned to analyze and read people, which helped her getting close to the people she photographed.
But the need for creative freedom and the opportunity to meet people in happy situations brought Kicki back to wedding photography.
She has been specializing in wedding photography for 20 years, and is fond of the documentary photography where nothing is directed and choreographed. Back in the 80's she moved her wedding photography out of the studio and the stiff images of that time.
Kicki works with top of the line equipment and is constantly evolving her skills, to reach even higher. Her latest work includes photographing the acclaimed NHL-player Mats "Sudden" Sundins wedding. Read More
