Bio: After 10 years of working as a journalist and marketing communications manager, Christina quit everything to pursue her passion for photography full time. She attended the Western Academy of Photography and won the school's highest honour - 'Best Overall Student.' Christina's fly-on-the-wall approach allows couples to relax and be themselves. In addition to a photography diploma, Christina also has a master's degree in journalism with a specialization in documentary and broadcast reporting.
She has produced and written several documentaries, including a work on non-traditional weddings. She excels at visual story-telling and her expertise means she can get photos that are different than anyone else's. Christina travels extensively and offers destination wedding photography services all over the world. She also lives a few months of year in Costa Rica, a country she knows intimately.
Bio: Rick Collins is a fine-art documentary photographer specializing in wedding and portrait work at home and internationally. His style relies on the use of landscape and natural beauty. Rick uses his 20-year career as a photojournalist as the backbone to producing both stunning portraits and emotional moments. He lives with his wife Cheryl and their two boys just outside of Vancouver in a turn-of-the-century farmhouse.
Bio: Rebecca Blissett is an award-winning photojournalist in Canada who has worked for numerous local, international newspapers and magazines for the past 15 years. She is a regular contributor for one of North America's original underground newspapers - Vancouver's Georgia Straight - where she photographs music, fashion, and news. She finds wedding photojournalism a natural extension of what she does best, using her eye as an artist and thinking with the skill of a journalist to document these important events. She covered weddings for friends by request for years before deciding to go official. Her wedding business, Moderne Matrimony, was formed in the early part of this decade. Rebecca holds a degree in journalism and has won several awards from the Canadian National Newspaper Association and the British Columbia and Yukon Newspaper Association. She has also cracked the top-20 with the Wedding Photojournalists Association.
