I was born and raised in France but it is Calgary (Canada) that I have called home for the past decade and half. While growing up in...ance, I was a fan of French photographers Robert Doisneau and Henri Cartier-Bresson. Both were reportage photographers (photojournalists) and were very popular amongst others. I would collect their books, images, etc., and became fascinated with their approach at photographing people in their most simple form of expression: life.
I studied photography in the late 90s in Victoria, BC. This was during the film age when you still needed a darkroom to reveal your work. After graduating, I moved back to Calgary unsure as to what to do next. I would photograph weddings for a very low fee, or free, while wondering if this could be something to get into on a full time basis.
In the meantime, while trying to figure things out, and while working part-time in an office, I decided to register and enroll into a very long program--Law. I was a Paralegal student, and actually did really well at it. My plan was to eventually become a lawyer, but after graduation, I worked in a law firm and didn't like it.
So I soon dusted my camera and dove into the photography business. Today, I work exclusively with digital equipment and work full-time as a photographer. I am my own boss--slaving in my own office.
Photography is a silent art with many feelings in it. For greater results, I encourage couples to be themselves and have fun in front of the camera. My goal, for every client, is to create beautiful photo-stories: the kinds that capture feelings and real emotion; the kinds that will capture your heart.Read More

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised on Kodachrome, I learned the pleasure of both camera and subject at the young age of ten when...took my first trip out of town on a family vacation. Over the years I have learned the beauty of photography and the people and places that surround me.
I have worked on extensive photographic projects in over 25 countries. I am on my fourth passport and the map is barely marked. I have been shot at, arrested, charged by elephants, tear gassed, walked amongst the ruins of Ground Zero and spat on by a humpback whale. I have had dinner with Desmond Tutu, have crashed in a hot air balloon, have been robbed at knifepoint and have only had to wear a suit twice. I have photographed the Pope, the Queen, and Jennifer Aniston all in one week. A recent assignment in Belize and Guatemala are fresh in my book.
My editorial work has appeared in numerous publications including: The Globe and Mail, MacLeans Magazine, Getty Images, Newsweek, The South China Morning Post, Time Magazine, Outpost Magazine, Lonely Planet Images, Explore Magazine, The LA Times, The Toronto Star, and Photo Life Magazine. My work is represented by First Light Images in Toronto. My wedding images have decorated the walls of homes in San Diego, LA, New York, Boston and many homes here in Canada.
