Dennis Viera is an international, award-winning wedding photographer dually based between San Francisco, California and Dunedin, New...aland. At the age of 15 when Dennis was working as a busboy in his hometown of Newport, Rhode Island, he found a lost camera. He turned it in and anxiously waited the 90 day wait period until it was his. That's how it all began. Whilst pursuing a Media Studies degree at the University of San Diego, he started pursuing his love for photography more seriously by photographing for his college newspaper. At that point, he handed himself over to photography - devouring everything the medium had to offer and exploring his passion for visual story telling. Dennis loves photographing urban culture, fashion, editorial, and architecture and weddings give him the opportunity to weave together everything he's ever learned or experienced to tell each client's story in a unique way.
Viera Photography is a partnership with his wife, Jaime - and they photograph every job together. When Dennis isn't busy photographing or travelling, he can be found hanging out with his son Alex, surfing, fishing, buying records, and taking more pictures. Dennis is also very passionate about music and has been DJing for almost a decade with bookings in New Zealand and the USA.Read More
Formal training at Bowdoin College and Brown University. Brian's development began while working with National Geographic photographer...len Rowell in western Tibet, Nepal and India. The techniques developed were simple: be consistently respectful, unobtrusive and friendly. Brian quietly charmed his way in and out of Chinese jails, through rioting civil servants in Kathmandu and was welcomed to photograph more prohibited elements of real daily life then most ever get access to. Brian learned there that a quick smile, a respectful nod and an unobtrusive approach can create incredible photographic opportunities.
Brian continued to take on various editorial assignments throughout Asia, Central America, Canada and The United States. He has covered everything from sea turtle rescue efforts in Costa Rica to documenting the impacts of logging in British Columbia. His work appears in a variety of publications including books by Random House, as well as regional and national magazines.
But how and why weddings? At Brian's own Hawaiian beachside wedding, he was amazed by how obtrusive his otherwise incredibly talented photographer was and thought that there had to be a better way. It's his incredible creativity, quick sense of quiet humor and commitment to capturing the real essence of a wedding that make his photographs unique and cherished. With studios in San Francisco and Maine, Brian teaches photography workshops throughout the United States and supports destination weddings worldwide.Read More

I got my start in photography during a year-long college exchange program in Japan. It was there that I discovered the power photographs...ve to let you relive moments and emotions associated with those moments. Upon my return to the US, I started formally studying photojournalism and freelancing for newspapers. It wasn't until a friend of a friend asked me to shoot their wedding that I realized how perfect an opportunity weddings were for me to not only pursue my passion for photojournalism but also allow my clients to relive the moments from their weddings through the photographs I capture. I soon started shooting weddings full-time, and over the next 5 years I developed into a regularly sought out photographer on the national and international level.
My greatest passion besides photojournalism is traveling, which probably explains why my favorite weddings to document are ones with strong multicultural influences. I like working with adventurous and worldly couples, especially ones with family visiting from overseas. I am located dually in Hawaii and Oregon and when I'm not busy flying to the next wedding location, I can be found hiking, cooking Italian food, and playing ultimate frisbee. I am also passionate about karate have been practicing martial arts almost half my life.Read More

Hawaii is considered by most a dream wedding destination. With lush tropical vegetation, thick forests, beautiful scenic beaches and majestic volcanic mountains
(including the famous Kilauea Volcano), Hawaii presents a vast array of backdrops for stunning wedding photographs. There are mainly six major islands to choose
from when considering your wedding ceremony and celebration in Hawaii: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii’s Big Island. You’ll find that each island
has its own unique personality and offers its own distinctiveness for wedding ceremonies and wedding photographs.
Kauai, the oldest island in the Hawaiian chain is filled with outdoor adventures and romantic escapades for your wedding enjoyment, including the gorgeous
beaches of the coconut coast, the massive cliffs at Napali Coast and the Waimea Canyon, which is known at the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Oahu is the well known
home to the state capitol of Honolulu, and this island contains a majority of Hawaii's population and tourists. You’ll find there a fantastic mix of natural and
cultural wonders that will tuck in your wedding celebration, from the famous Pearl Harbor memorials and museums to the world renown beaches of Waikiki Beach and
the waves of North Shore. Molokai is known for being an island that stays true to its Hawaiian traditions, which allows for you to take in a naturally tranquil
setting for your wedding. If you desire a true getaway for your wedding ceremony and wedding pictures, chose Lanai. Without a single traffic light, you can
truly find luxury, romance and privacy for your wedding on Lanai. Maui, a dream island wedding destination, is home to what many believe to be the best beaches
in the world, which is an added blessing for your wedding photographs. With historic areas like Lahaina and visually spectacular scenes on the road to Hana, Maui
will take your wedding ceremony and pictures up to new heights. Take advantage of Hawaii’s Big Island, which is larger than all of the other Hawaiian Islands
combined. Hawaii's Big Island, is large enough to contain 11 of the world’s 13 climactic zones, from sandy beaches to snowcapped mountains, which can add great
dynamics to your wedding wishes. You can also enjoy everything from waterfalls, seascapes and massive volcano’s which all add to the flavor of truly memorable
wedding moments that will be captured by your wedding photojournalist.
Birthplace of the “Aloha Spirit”, surfing, the hula, the lei and poi, you will have no problem surrounding yourself with unique cultural tastes to make your
wedding day an event to remember forever. The warm citizens of Hawaii and the steady climate add to the comfort and enjoyment of your wedding that will indeed
shine through in your wedding pictures.
