Pat Crowe's education with a camera really began as a child helping his father on assignments. Early on Pat learned much of what makes a great image. One of the most important aspects in becoming a great photographer is the development of your eye. Quality lighting, pose, and capturing the moment are all essential elements of a great photograph.
Pat’s father was an award winning newspaper photographer winning the NPPA Newspaper of the Year Award. Pat learned a phenomenal amount from his father and learned a great deal from me technically especially with the advent of digital.
Pat graduated from one of the finest photography schools in the world, the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, earning a BFA in Photography degree in 1990 and the Savannah College of Art & Design earning an MA in Photography. A 1/1/2 month trip to Ireland followed RIT documenting the life and scenery of the Irish people.
Pat has done work for the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, The Baltimore Sun, the Wilmington, DE News Journal, the Boston Globe and the Wall Street Journal. He’s been published in American Photographer Magazine, Delaware Today, Philadelphia Magazine, Photographers Forum, and has attended the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop learning from some of the greatest photographers today like Eddie Adams and Eugene Richards. In 2004 he participated in the national project America 24/7.
Capturing the moment, the emotion, the details unobtrusively is his focus. He looks at the opportunity to document this definitive moment in the lives of a couple as a privilege and pledges to do his absolute best as he does in all other areas of photography.

Everywhere but nowhere is how I would describe my style. Capturing emotions without leaving a trace is my approach to weddings. I honed... skills by working for a studio and quickly learned that the traditional style was not one I wished to emulate. I also worked for an actual photojournalist, and that experience shaped the photographer I am today. I only shoot 10-15 weddings per year as I like to give my clients my utmost attention throughout the process from initial consultation to album delivery. Read More

I have always loved photography but it was while working as a communications specialist at the United States Agency for International...velopment (USAID) that I realized the ability of photographs to quickly and powerfully tell a story or convey a message. I left my job at USAID to study at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts Boston University.
I have spent time working in Senegal, Turkey, and Kurdish Iraq photographing a range of subjects including emigration and religion in daily life. I strive to put my subjects at ease in my presence, creating engaging, intimate pictures that connect the viewer to the subject. I currently work as a freelance photographer covering editorial, event, wedding, and corporate photography. I am also a member of the National Press Photographer’s Association (NPPA), the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and the Wedding Photojournalist Association.Read More
