BRIDES MAGAZINE & the Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly present a Wedding Photojournalism Contest.
The WPJA/BRIDES Wedding Photojournalism Contest spotlights the finest images from the best wedding photojournalists on the pages of one of the most world-renowned wedding publications and the web sites of the WPJA and BRIDES.
For most brides and grooms, wedding photojournalism is no longer a trendy alternative to traditional wedding day photo-coverage; rather, it is mainstream wedding photography. The WPJA has been leading the way in promoting and rewarding photographers who excel in capturing the un-styled and un-scripted moments of the wedding day. More and more couples are seeking out the top wedding photojournalists in the world through the WPJA web site.
May 16th, 17th & 18th, 2008: Sponsored by the WPJA, the three-day VII Seminar in New York City was held at the Klitgord Auditorium of the NYC Technical College.
VII put on presentations by each of their 11 photographers, a few of their new Network photographers, sponsors and special guests. They organized a panel discussion on
"Photojournalism within the context of Contemporary Photography". They also hosted exclusive VII Seminar evening events in the new VII DUMBO space on 28 Jay Street.
If you choose one of our WPJA Arkansas wedding photojournalists
as your wedding photographer, please let them know you found
them through the Wedding Photojournalist Association.
The WPJA at a glance: The Wedding Photojournalist Association
puts the best Arkansas wedding photographers at your fingertips,
by granting membership only to the most talented professional
wedding photographers in the world--photographers who focus
solely
on using their documentary photography skills to capture the
moments of your wedding day.
Arkansas has 600,000 acres of lakes, 9,700 miles of rivers
and streams, and 2.4 million acres of forest that make it a
great place for a WPJA Arkansas wedding photojournalist to
shoot pictures of your wedding day. Brides and grooms have
a variety of scenic Arkansas wedding locations to choose from:
The Ozark Mountains covering northwestern Arkansas, the Ouachita
Mountains in west-central Arkansas, or the rolling hills and
timberlands of Southern Arkansas offer great backdrops for
Arkansas wedding photos. If the couple prefers a country wedding,
Arkansas has a lot to offer in the beauty of its countryside.
Depending on the location of an Arkansas wedding, the bride
and groom, wedding guests, or members of the wedding party
may want to enjoy the many attractions Arkansas has to offer.
Ozarks natural and wilderness areas are popular places to enjoy
outdoor recreation. Bathing in the thermal hot springs may
chase away those pre-wedding jitters or even provide relaxation
after the wedding. There are many hot springs to choose from,
Eureka Springs with 63 hot springs, Hot Springs Mountain in
Ouachita with 47 hot springs, or the Blanchard Springs Cavern
which attracts many tourists for its two underground trails.
These locations could help provide your Arkansas wedding photographer
with opportunities to take some creative shots in very unique
locations.
