The WPJA/BRIDES Wedding Photojournalism Contest spotlights the finest images from the best wedding photojournalists on the pages of one of the most world-renowned wedding publications and the web sites of the WPJA and BRIDES.
For most brides and grooms, wedding photojournalism is no longer a trendy alternative to traditional wedding day photo-coverage; rather, it is mainstream wedding photography. The WPJA has been leading the way in promoting and rewarding photographers who excel in capturing the un-styled and un-scripted moments of the wedding day. More and more couples are seeking out the top wedding photojournalists in the world through the WPJA web site.
May 16th, 17th & 18th, 2008: Sponsored by the WPJA, the three-day VII Seminar in New York City will be held at the Klitgord Auditorium of the NYC Technical College. VII will put on
presentations by each of their 11 photographers, a few of their new Network photographers, sponsors and special guests. They are organizing a panel discussion on "Photojournalism within the context of
Contemporary Photography". They will also be hosting exclusive VII Seminar evening events in the new VII DUMBO space on 28 Jay Street.
If you choose one of our WPJA Alabama wedding photojournalists

Many parts of Alabama are thickly forested making this state
a great backdrop for wedding photography. With so many state
parks and national forests in Alabama, wedding photographers
love the opportunities it presents to hone their wedding photojournalism
skills. The Appalachian foothills are in northeastern Alabama,
an area with rolling hills, lakes and rivers – a great
spot any Alabama wedding photographer would love to photograph.
A few fortunate brides and grooms are able to plan their Alabama
wedding in the Talladega National Forest, home of Mount Cheaha...another
great backdrop for AL wedding photos.
There are many picturesque Alabama wedding locations including
swamps, wetlands and rivers - some have whitewater rapids making
them an attraction for wedding guests looking for rafting and
kayaking before or after wedding day...a sideline photo opportunity
your Alabama wedding photojournalist could enjoy. Alabama has
many underground caves for your wedding party and guests including
DeSoto Caverns located in Childersburg, Sequoyah Caverns in
Valley Head, and Russell Cave National Monument in Bridgeport,
Alabama.
The southern part of the state sits on the Gulf of Mexico,
providing great spots for Alabama beach weddings and recreation
areas for your Alabama wedding photography.
