This contest advanced California and Texas WPJA members as a group to the top of the ranks with a total of 21 and 19 awards, respectively, in the top ten. Individually, David Murray
(Maine) and Greg Blomberg (Texas) tied for first with the most contest points. David Jay (California) followed their lead for second. Gary Allen (North Carolina), Eric Cable (Oregon) and
Kevin Swan (Indiana) tied for third.

The WPJA held a wedding photography contest for any wedding image taken during the ENTIRE year of 2003. A 'Photographer of the Year' was announced and the WPJA 'TRAVELING TROPHY' was
awarded to the member with the most contest points for 2003.

WPJA held its second 'members only' photography contest for all wedding images taken during the first half of 2003 (Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun). Only digital files were accepted.

2002 CONTEST

The Wedding Photojournalist Association held its first 'members only' photography contest for all wedding images taken during the ENTIRE year of 2002. Images were submitted as prints in sizes
up to 8" x 10".
