|
|
Click here to go to the D-65 website.
Do you want to quickly process your files and have them look awesome? Do you want to be able to find any image in the blink of an eye? Are you keywording properly and using metadata to
your advantage? Do your prints look the way you want? Can you convert to CMYK? Wondering how to set up a real archive? Are you working in 16-bit and using ProPhoto? Can you extend the
dynamic range of an image? Is your computer optimized for workflow, or is it running slow? Would you like to blow your clients away with quality they rarely see? Are your digital files
better than your film files? They should be.
If you've asked yourself any of these questions, then D-65 has THE Workshop for you.
The key to shooting digitally is comprehending all of the technology. Once you understand what is involved, digital is intensely rewarding. Digital offers a world of new creativity
and allows for greater quality control over your imagery.
The D-65 workshops teach bulletproof techniques to increase workflow productivity and save time. These workshops demonstrate ways to automate, search, archive, present and deliver
the zillions of images today's photographers accumulate. Attendees will learn to create files perfect for reproduction; tagged, named, sized and sharpened correctly, along with attaching
the appropriate metadata and keywords. You'll learn the correct way to keep your images organized, and archived. The workshops are intensive, and focus on optimizing digital photography
-- from input to output.
Grow technically, artistically and financially as a photographer in this intensive, four-day digital workflow workshop. Our days consist of hands-on training and lectures supplemented
by a comprehensive D-65 digital workflow textbook. By the end of the program, you will have the ability to create your own successful workflow, and better communicate with your clients.

$700 toward travel expenses to get to the Dominican Republic. For full details about this intense, week-long workshop, visit the
Truth With A Camera site. Members applied online through the WPJA site using the

VII SEMINAR IN NYC - 2008
Klitgord Auditorium, New York City Technical College
300 Jay Street (Downtown Brooklyn), NY May 16th, 17th & 18th 2008
VII has been hosting large-scale seminars for the past three years (Boston, New York, Los Angeles and London). They have hosted six separate, sold-out events that have attracted over
3,300 attendees during this time period. These events have been sponsored by Canon USA, Apple Computers, Lexar, Lowepro, Digital Railroad and most recently the WPJA and Melrose Mac.
These events are primarily attended by professional photographers (60%), students (40%), and are evenly divided between men and women.
Most recently, they've brought the seminar to DUMBO (Brooklyn, NY). VII hosted the three-day seminar at the Klitgord Auditorium of the NYC Technical College on May 16th, 17th &
18th, 2008. The Klitgord Auditorium is a state-of-the-art facility that seats close to 900 people.
Over the course of three days, VII put on presentations by each of their 11 photographers and a few of their new Network photographers, sponsors and special guests. They organized a
panel discussion on "Photojournalism within the context of Contemporary Photography". They also hosted exclusive VII Seminar evening events in the new VII DUMBO space on 28 Jay Street.
This event was particularly exciting for VII as they proudly introduced their newest members: Marcus Bleasdale and Franco Pagetti, as well as the brand new VII Network Photographers:
Eric Bouvet, Jessica Dimmock, Tivadar Domaniczky, Balaz Gardi, Benjamin Lowy, Stephanie Sinclair and Donald Weber. VII has also just opened a new space down the street from the Klitgord
Auditorium where they have a permanent collection of the photographers' work displayed as well as a brand new VII bookstore.
