WPJA ON COPYRIGHTS

EXAMPLES OF PHOTO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT:

How do I get my membership revoked?

The use of a copyright notice is no longer required under U.S. law. You may not place images on your web site that were not created by you and mislead the public into thinking you created them.

Example #1 below:

The above screen capture was recently taken from a photographer's web site. This person was applying for membership into the WPJA. I was shocked (as the founder of the WPJA) to find several of MY images being used without permission, one was in the masthead/logo and used on every page. My images are below:

I can prove I was there, I'm in the mirror with the bride (below):

Example #2:

The above screen capture was recently taken from another photographer's web site. This person was applying for membership into the WPJA. I recognized a familiar image and notified a WPJA member that their image (center photo above) was being used by another photographer.

Another screen capture (above) was recently taken from the same photographer's web site. Our WPJA member noticed that another image (tinted flower center above) was being used by this person. Below is a screen capture showing the original image on the WPJA member site.
