The WPJA is proud to announce its move from fee-based contests to free contests. As a reminder, for 2009, all members will receive 40 FREE contest credits (valued at
$400 USD) to be used for the Q1 through Q4 contests. This will give every member an opportunity to enter the quarterly contests without an increase in
spending.

Contest Judges
Photographer of the Year Eligibility (POY)
We've changed the criteria for POY eligibility. Beginning this year, the title of POY will be given to the member who holds the most contest points
(except those awarded from categories designated for portraits and/or details) at the end of the year. Whereas in years past, POY points
were calculated using all contest points, we are no longer including points obtained from portrait and/or detail categories.
This recipient is recognized with a permanent engraving of his or her name on the perpetually Traveling Trophy. Each year, this trophy is returned to the
WPJA and awarded to their successor the following year. The WPJA PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR wins an additional $1,000.00 CASH (USD) GRAND PRIZE BONUS.
