By far the weakest category I saw. This image felt like “art†to me, it could hang in a gallery, or be a greeting card, or such. It's got a great, abstract ethereal quality to it. It requires a lot of looking to see what's going on, and it's still not clear. The use of soft light, soft focus and wonderful composition give this image a painting-like quality It's a beautifully done moment

Simply graphic using window light on a chessboard floor. Simple and elegant- nice to see the photographer looking at all angles.

Strobe lights the glitter of this wedding. Dark and moody. This one stood out because it didn't need to be posed to be 'artistic'. Loved the lighting and the floating rice that was captured in air. Another ace. The black and white of the bride and groom, the starlight, the street lamp... all make for a wonderful image that delivers a quiet moment of joy and happiness.

Liked the different perspective and bright bold colors. Although not unique, it's a great portrait that speaks to city and quick exits and young love. Different and deserving of the category.

A nice eye-catching silhouette, a moment set against the sky and framed by the environment. Simple and strong in composition. The shadows of the columns, the silhouettes of the couple holding hands and the lion... it's a great moment made stronger by the photographer's use of light.

The juxtaposition of the two women in front of the … painting/photograph and yet they could just as easily be a part of it. The image has a real impressionist feel to it.
