Fun divide between the worlds of the adults and the children. Great moment!
It may be a common scene at weddings, but it isn't a common image. It's set apart from the others via the juxtaposition of the devil-may-care scene taking place on the floor with the seriousness of the speaker and the almost solemn uniformity of the head table. But never discount finding the moment within a scene like this. When combined with good execution of photographic skill, the moment always sets an image apart.

This is the kind of moment that wins awards. Photojournalism is essentially the pursuit of truth portrayed through universal narratives - moments. When a single image can present a "story" as strongly as this, then there is no doubt that the photographer has accomplished one of the premiere tenets of photojournalism.

Great seeing, thinking, angle and use of the silhouette to make a moment that is hard to experience from outside the circle, to make that into an image that anyone can appreciate.

This frame is all about a great heartfelt moment!
This has a nice moment and a strong emotional/human component. I might have stepped right a bit to so the lower left part of the bride is not cut off. The people in the foreground do a good job of giving good framing of the couple.

What a fun image. It really brings the personality of the subject to the viewer. Looking at the image makes you feel almost as though you have known these people for years, as though we could put it in our own family scrapbook and refer to them as aunts and uncles. It's more than just the obvious moment - it's also how lighting, composition and lens angle adds to the "feel good" veracity of the photo.

The look on the little girls face is so priceless I don't mind the clutter in the frame.

Nice moment with the appropriate high shutter speed to stop the moment. I do wonder about having less depth of field so the background is less in focus and less liklely to pull my attention from the couple (good) to the background building (bad.)

Working in low light with long lenses creates this kind of singular point of focus, I know. But using that and the low angle to make the viewer feel like thay are sitting at the table with the woman is what makes this even better.

Looking at this photograph makes you want to reach out and hug someone. It's an endearing image with simple "no fuss" composition, exactly what was required to preserve a wonderful moments like this.

The shadow is very dramatic, in an almost horror film kind of a way and it makes the image. It gives anyone looking at the image a feel for the drama of the wedding and the feeling of the couple in a way that the other images in my top ten, (with a more straightforward lighting) do not.

Sometimes we just have to be in the right place at the right time. And sometimes we just need the right lens as we cross our fingers and hope (and wait) that the moment appears. And here it is. All that is missing in this scene, that harkens a Bacchanalian feast, is the wine god himself - Dionysus - to float from the ceiling.
