Great expression. What I like most is that we don't see much of the person working on the girl's hair—we don't need to see any more than what the photographer gave us. The silhouette of the hands is perfect. The off-center framing cleans up what could have been a distracting background. Well done!

Another hard category to rank. The top ten lept out as the strongest, but to say one is better than the other was difficult. This photo's strength is that is seems to say that the world of kids has taken over this reception, at least for a while. The world has pulled aside and these kids are lighting it up! Taken from the kid's level, too, which takes us into their world. Unobtrusively lit.

This could have been another nice dancing photo taken from an elevated position. But the kids really adds a funny touch. The elevated framing simplifies and enhances this photo and the tile floor adds nice texture, too.

The photographer took full advantage of the situation to capture a terrific moment that is enhanced by the intrusion of the little boy on his scooter to scoot into what would have been a beautiful photograph nevertheless. The graphic elements of the floor design, angle, and composition all work together to make what I'm sure will become a family favorite for years to come.

Beautiful, simple, sad. A reminder that kids don't live in the same world as adults: fluffy refinery doesn't make everyone happy all the time. The photographer saw this, and showed us just enough of the surroundings (the dress) without including anything that would distract us from this girl's angst.

Nice job of seeing and going beyond the obvious to capture this image. Capturing the little boy's body language amidst that of the adults trying to match their stride for stride was a thoughtful decision on the part of the photographer to choose to shoot from behind the group. This is an image that succeeds on every level.

A beautiful moment enhanced by the shallow depth of field. It begs us to wonder about the story here, but we do know that the adult world of the wedding is paralleled in some way in the world of children. Also, the white arm on black coat, black brush against white sky, all works. Dream-like.

Now here's a multi-layered photo that's fun to look at! The contrast between the presented world of the smiling-boy portrait on the wall with the yelping child in real life; the distracted bride trying to comfort one child while keeping track of another. The high key tones help us see the little critter looking out from behind the red chair. It's a complicated shot, well organized.
