Special attention on a special day. A caring calm in the eye of the storm. ,
The photo captures the care, pampering and attention to detail that goes into wedding preparations. It's well composed and graphically effective - the attendants' arms center one's attention on the bride's face, and there's a nice relationship between the makeup brush and the straw. The image manages to preserve the elegance and seriousness of the moment while infusing it with the quiet humor of the bride being helped to drink without the use of her hands.

A beautifully constructed frame, there are several surprises here. Nicely captured moment between the bride and groom. Definitely, my favorite of the category.,

There were probably few words necessary in this moment, and the photograph captures everything about how these two men feel.,

It was refreshing to see a photo that showed the items used to prepare a bride for her wedding. Loved the way the items are used to frame the bride to tell the story of the day.,
The room's disarray is a smartly observed situation that suggests hurried preparation as well as providing a photo that ultimately will complement more controlled, elegant scenes from the wedding itself.,

This photo show how rushed those moments can be before a wedding as people get ready. Multitasking is important and even a hug gets rushed. Nice framing and timing.,

Nice use of negative/positive space to create a strong composition and emphasize the moment.

A well composed moment that captures a sense of hurried but careful preparations. Graphically it benefits from some fortuitous coincidences: the similar bend in the arms of the women in red, and the curve of the pregnant woman's belly mirrors the curves in the paintings on the wall (as does the hair of the woman climbing behind the bride).

Not all wedding preparation is glamorous. People still need to drink their coffee. The photographer took a wonderful photo that I don't think many photographers would take because it isn't the obvious photo, but these scenes can make special images, as this one shows.

Good job of capturing a private, tender moment between father and son (presumably). It's well composed and despite the busyness of the environment the embrace stands out. Years before it would have been the father who appeared as the strong figure, but it's poignant that here the strong hand is that of the son, ready to start a family of his own, comforting the father.
