Peak action is what we are used to seeing, but the best action is often just before, or just after that peak. In this case the image is made by the anticipation of what is about to happen. The moment is very strong.

Beautifully composed. Their expressions say so much and the way the confetti casts perfect heart shadows really works

This is just a wonderful moment that is composed well to give the viewer all the necessary info and nothing more. Well done! Action is all about the moment, and this one is a winner

I like this picture a lot because it has energy and contrast and feet and faces and smiles and kids and adults and goofy. It's just another way of looking at the world and people try this picture often and it doesn't come off as well and this photograph just works...good job.

It's hard to beat a photograph of a lemur climbing on top of the bride's head for a light-hearted and memorable snapshot of the special day. An unconventional moment that will certainly evoke smiles and fond memories for years to come.

Beautiful way to see the dance. Photograph matches peak action on the dance floor with dramatic flair. Also, it's one of those rare occasions where a tilt of the camera seems consistent with the content

I like the motion, the action, the expression, the moment. It's theatrical but not set up...a great decisive moment. What are they waiitng for? Like those frozen in time statues who were made still by the Wonder Twins or something like that. Do they really want to catch the thing or are they avoiding it? This photogaph captures that male bachelor feeling that I think we all have felt as we go through this ritual.

Every corner of this image is framed with gestures that make the center action of stretching the garter belt more dynamic and funny. It is cramped with male energy.

Great body language and emotion make this a strong as well as fun photograph. Technically, it made a huge difference in this instance to balance the strobe with ambient light and thereby provide a glimpse of the moody context for the stunt

Nicely lit, peak moment of joy on the dance floor. The body language and expression say it all.

This is a funny moment that was captured at the perfect time. Like most of everything judged here, most horizontal frames seem to be un-cropped. This image could benefit from cropping out the one person on the left side, who adds nothing to the whole.

Using strobe and a slow shutter speed gives this image the motion it needs in all the right places. This is a good technical example of the technique used to capture a beautiful moment.

Like the textures...somehow this ultra wide kind of works but I still am generally opposed to this focal length and think the photographer should stop making such wide angle zooms. I also have to admit that on occasion my camera zoom gets stuck on 16 just for fun and to see what happens....go crazy...great shot.

This is just a funny moment that I'm sure the couple was very pleased that the photographer captured. Action doesn't always have to be tight to work, but a tighter crop in this image would help get us into the image a little sooner, and would get rid of a sky that isn't overly atrractive, and a car fender that adds nothing to the image.

I'm not sure if she's singing or laughing or what but the energy that surrounds her is certainly contagious. Her gesture contains such power and joy.

Perfect angle and cropping for this unusual look at the bouquet throwing. This approach captures the playful, competitive nature of the tradition. On a technical note, it might help to lighten the image a bit as overall tones seemed a bit grayed out (histogram seemed to support that, however this can also definitely be a matter of taste).
