The bride's goose bumps say it all. Well done. This image jumped at me immediately! Rarely does a detail say so much about the person in the frame, but here the selective focus on the goose bumps says so much. A great eye to get this so effectively.

Pattern repetition of arms, hands, flowers and tuxedos make a fun detail while also suggesting several themes, such as friendship, anxiety before the big moment, etc. A very nice way to see and document the situation.

I liked the combination of the reflection and the dress picture to emphasize the detail. So often these types of pictures are real standard, but this photographer truly pushed the edge to make something different that forced us to look at the dress and the day in a different way. I have to say that the moment of the bride and groom is not as perfect as it might be, but I gave it first for trying something very different and I like that.

There were plenty of good detail images in this category, but too many really didn't have a reason to be photographed, other than being isolated details. This shot of the couple's hands and the ring shot with the sun behind is beautiful, and something the couple would appreciate I'm sure. Shooting her rings this way is much more effective than shooting them in a static situation, because it suggests more of their meaning, not just their aesthetic quality.

I like the patterns of this shot and the attention to detail and the dresses are great. Are these people for real? I do think that the photographer could have used a slightly tighter focal length as I don't like the foreshortening, but excellent shot and love the energy in such a static photograph.

Contrast in subject matter is what makes this image. Because the photographer composed this way, we aren't slapped in the face with the obvious, but because of the colors and subjects, the point of the image is very clear. It's one of those cases where the smallest element in a photograph can actually dominate the viewers attention because it is so different.

Very graceful way to illustrate the eye-catching nature of hundreds of bubbles floating around the dance floor while also conveying the romantic mood of the day.

This is another example of giving the viewer nothing else to focus on but what is important. Just as the photographer in another image did with colors, and composition, this photographer has done with focal length. The composition here is important to keep the necklace in context.

This is one of those timeless, quiet details that tugs at the viewers heart strings. A photograph that will become even more endearing as family members and the subject herself grow older
