Beautifully composed and timed to capture the artful wisp of veil in wind. Serendipity can be a photographer's best friend. Even if every other element of this image was purposely composed, the way the wind has lifted the veil into the air is an unexpected gift. I love the angle of this picture. It took guts to get up above during this moment and not take the usual moment. The touch of the flowers on the ground and the fact that you can barely make out any of the guest faces emphasizes the moment of the kiss. I love it. That's why I picked it first...interesting, composition, great moment and a home run.

The key to covering any event, wedding or not, is being prepared for whatever comes at you. This photographer did well to keep it all together as this flower boy amused all the guests. It's so important here that the couple is still visible coming down the aisle behind.

Quick thinking on the part of the photographer in seeing the moment and then composing through nuns evokes an elegant sense of urgency as the bride seems to be hurrying to get to her ceremony. Offers a sense of place that will nicely supplement some of the more traditional photographs from the ceremony. A very different feel and one that will certainly evoke fond memories in the years to come.

Good planning and some luck comes into play with this image, but the photographer gets points for getting a wonderful moment and good composition combined with the bubbles in the right places.

I just love the perspective that makes the bride seem small, as she enters the chapel. This is one exception where an extreme wide-angle shot worked well to add to the tension of the moment. Excellent.

Wonderful gestures of the couple. Well composed and lit. Some images are timeless and I believe this is one of them. There is a feeling of youth and innocence in the way both the groom and bride are smiling and covering their faces.

Clean and simple, unpretentious moment between father(?) and daughter. Nicely composed and toned, especially considering that window/doorway light was so intense. Timing of a kiss can be critical, as just an instant on either side can make the moment feel off and therefore somewhat awkward.

Funny shot. I have to say that here is an example where the subject and the expressions of the people make the picture. This is a great example of knowing how to control depth of field and exposure to make you look where the photographer wants you to look. Composition gives you everything you need here, and nothing more.

Another running picture but unlike the picture that looks like Narnia, this one reminds me of 2001 a Space odyssey...where is she running to and it seems like when she passes through that door that she might just disappear. I love photographs and particularly wedding photographs that are fantastical and make me think of another time or place, that go beyond that day. This photograph transcends the moment. When she's an old woman, she will look back at this picture with fondness and remember what it was like to be young.
