What a nice shot, beautifully composed and fun, surprising and catching the emotion just right in all the faces. What a different picture.

There is no miss in this moment as the bride takes center stage in a photo framed with multiple leading lines that deliver our eyes directly to her face. Even the pattern on the floor contributes to the circle of attention upon her.

I love the combination of how this image is framed with the man's heartfelt laughter. Absolutely great.

This woman becomes the focus of our attention due to judicious framing and a shallow depth of field. If the photographer included the facial expression of the man at left it could have easily become a distraction rather than the strong graphic shape that helps lead us into the image. Depth of field insures that the woman in the background prevents distraction and serves as a frame for the moment.

This one’s sweet, includes the bride and groom with a loved one that’s got a special moment and it’s clean and appealing. Nice shot.

Fabulous moment with the couple obviously feeling the same way about the news/gossip.

The high-key flare on the bride's face brings the mascara-stained tear of the bride to the viewer's attention. Interestingly, a bright source of light adjacent to the primary element is usually a distraction, but in this case it forces our eyes to the bride's eye and that all-important tear that makes this image a quiet moment.

If you mentally draw the rule of thirds across this photo, you can see how composition adds a visual accent to the image. In the upper right hand cross-section, we find her emotional reaction to the card she reads, resting slightly above the lower right hand cross-section. The empty space at left isolates the moment and adds visual balance. But of particular note is the use of a mid-tele lens and shallow depth of field. The photographer has used every element of visual communication to record this scene and yet retain the silent reverence of the observer.

What a heartbreaking and tender moment all at the same time in a shot that has a lot going for it. Pretty special.

This is a wonderful example of a silent moment beautifully exploited by the photographer. The champagne bucket in the foreground, the piece of paper - once folded - at his feet, the opened jewelry box on the night stand, the lace behind him, all speak to a story that unfolds ever so slightly, until revealed on his face.

Makes you wish you heard the joke but it really tells the story of “the toast” and friendship and unity.

Great quiet moment where you can feel the tension, anticipation and the friend checking in wondering what is going on.
