The circular patterns of light against darkness mirroring the shape of glasses both empty and full set the scene as remnants of what must have been a wonderful party - that is until fatigue or perhaps a "tad too much" spelled the end of it all for this lone man. Otherwise this is an image that conveys a simple message through excellent use of light and composition.

There’s such a beauty and elegance to this it looks like a painting, or a theatrical production. A beautiful picture.

There is just enough glint of a beaming bride to prevent her from being lost among the celebration. How appropriate that on a day traditionally filled with hundreds of details and distractions that she should rise among them all.

I like that there is a lot to look at here. Great colors, people spread out with the kissing wedding couple as a surprise. Even a tired videographer sitting around.

There’s nothing fancy about this, its beauty is in its simplicity, the love, the pride in the moment. Nicely done.

It took me a moment to realize what is going on in this photograph. Great!
This photo obviously captures a fun moment but its success relies on more than the obvious. Rather, it is the woman's hand deftly holding her dress in place juxtaposed with expressions of the people in the background that make all of us want to say, "Oops."

The horizontal and vertical lines in this image help set the outstretched arms of this obviously happy man from what would otherwise be yet another day in the city. However, what matters most in this image is how good the composition lifts the subject from the distraction of a cluttered background. Good use of light and composition, combined with a strong moment, is a simple recipe in spite of the ingredients.

The bride's smile is as broad as her dress in this fun photograph that, no matter where you look, always points us back to her. It's tough not to smile with her because almost every element of this photo speaks of fun and directs us back to her joy.

You can almost hear them singing -- it really captures a reception going at full volume.

This has a lot of things going for it -- great lighting, a sense of place and a nicely timed moment.
