The use of flash blur is very successful here. Every face is focused on the prize. The bold color adds to the intensity of the moment.
A good use of rear curtain sync flash to shoot the furious surge of capturing the bouquet.
Strong technique control and great timing in this picture.

This was quite a difficult shot to get, because there wasn't very much space to do it. I tried to position myself between the bride and the women trying to catch the bouquet. I also used a slow-sync in my flash settings, so that the picture conveys the true feeling of action and the moment. All in all, I am very pleased how it turned out.

Great action shot. Every face is engaged and the black and white allows us to focus on their wonderful expressions. The framing is perfect too.
The timing of this picture is great; and the anticipation on the various faces is great, too.

I really enjoy seeing the expressions and the body language of the girls involved and at the same time being able to clearly see the bouquet. Really well done.

The frame with a bunch of moving hands works well with the bouquet just coming into frame.
Great emotion.

The composition is intelligent and intriguing in this picture. You have the impression to be in the group following the bouquet.

The low perspective was an excellent choice. This moment shows us anything can happen at any time. The photographer’s preparation and anticipation was rewarded with a dynamic moment.
The groom has fallen down on the job yet the hard working photographer has not!

A terrific moment and body language. A great composition. There is a lot of information starting with the bride to the last of the crowd.

The use of the wide-angle lens is successful here. The peak moment separates nicely from the background. There are a lot of elements in this photograph, but it is still easy to read. Again, cropping the headless body off the left would help us focus on the action.

This frame made me laugh - as if the garter were toxic.

I've learned through experience, that when there's a traditional toss of some kind, there's really only one moment that can capture it. Now, instead of taking a flurry of shots and crossing my fingers, I wait for just that right moment, and take only a single photograph of the action...
