Photographer captures a very sweet moment of a father kissing the forehead of his son. As they embrace the girl at left leads you into the frame as she is also moved by the emotion. It’s nice to see such a touching moment of father and son. The guy at right is a little blown out in the exposure.
No one else seems to notice this beautiful scene except the woman at left and, thanks to a skilled photographer, us. I enjoy the "silence" of this moment. The photo gives us an opportunity to peer into the "hidden" dynamics between the younger and older man which we presume to be father and son. He grasps his head and kisses his forehead with a gesture that might be an unfamiliar awkwardness, as though such closeness is reserved for big moments like a wedding. Or perhaps it's just the opposite, a quick kiss borne of familiarity that has no need for embellishment. Is the younger man gripping or merely touching? Ultimately, such things matters little compared to what an image can do to cause us to reflect on our own life, our own embraces.
What a wonderful moment. The main elements of this image are immediately obvious but I particularly like the extra layer of a woman watching the scene at the left. Otherwise the image puts a "face" to an emotional moment between father and daughter on wedding day.
Photographer captures a great reaction of the mom and her daughter with very similar expressions that mirror each other. The fact that they are holding hands shares their love and it’s just a beautiful behind the scenes moment that brings great joy!! Framing and choice of lens is well done where you can still see a suitcase at right and get a sense for the hotel room.
The colors, the light, the outstretched arms of the bride and the man who approaches her makes me want to smile. I like the way her arms become not just a waiting embrace for the man but also for the viewer as it creates a dominant entry point into the scene.
This is a great moment of a father sewing his daughter’s wedding dress. His determination and expression combined with the lifting of the thread give us a behind the scenes photo not often seen as she patiently waits for him to finish. The photographer frames this well and the expression on the dad is priceless. Very nice available light also adds intimacy to the image.
A moment can't be trumped by any other element of an image. In fact everything in a photograph works to serve the purpose of communicating a moment. This image gains power through its servitude to the meaning and purpose of visual communication.
Very sweet moment of the bride dabbing a tear from her father’s face as his expression changes to a smile in the back of a limo. The photo is framed nicely to include them holding hands. Wide angle does distort a little bit on both sides of the image.
