This is fun! I’m smiling as I look at the three faces screaming/singing? Good layers and action.
Nice layering and funny little moment on the dance floor. The reflection with the guy in the front and the guy in the back is great.

Peak action and expression. The background is a bit chaotic though the shallow DofF help. This image captured the feeling of action the best for me.

In a category that I thought may have been stronger, this image stood out every time I reviewed the final selection. There is a lot going on in this image that is not as simple as it looks. Depth of field, selective focus, shutter speed, and lighting, all work well together to make this an effective image of a tiny piece of body language that speaks volumes.

The picture that had all the storytelling elements. If you were going to pick one image from this wedding of the reception/dancing, this would be a good one.

The perfect dip. Lovely moment and pretty light.

Great, fun moments like this are wonderful to have especially when the proper mix of strobe and ambient light are combined. There were several images similar to this one that did not make the grade for a variety of reasons including composition, and exposure, that this photograph has no problems with.

This is just a funny picture. It shows the reward for the photographer that is willing to (what looks like) stay a little later.

Total and complete sincerity in her expression; well balanced composition with a pleasing color palate.

9th Place: Julie Ambos from Florida, United StatesJudges Comments
Great expression caught at the height of the action; ceiling elements hurt this image.

While I'd prefer to see this image shot with a better balance between the light of the flash and the ambient light in the room, the moment more than makes up for it. A nice catch of a fun piece of the dance floor action.

Moody lighting and a swagger in his step! Nice to see the faces of the people watching.

I like how everyone is involved in this photo, the couple and everyone standing around then. The hands in the air, the petals and the colors make it fun.
While my choice for first in this category stood out because it beautifully captures a moment between two people, this image does well to place the happy couple in the company of their guests. The choice of framing was intentional, and was the best choice for bringing everyone into the image while still allowing the bridal couple to be the center of attention.

Kids always seem to help make great images from any wedding, but this image works especially well because the young "dancer" is photographed in relation to what is going on around her, and it is framed very well and is technically sound.

I liked the light and the edges of this frame. The woman on the left makes this picture for me.

Wonderful soft light and the feeling of a private moment within the action.
