This photo may in fact be one of my favorites from all of the categories. It combined the beautiful, fairy-tale setting with gorgeous light, strong composition and the moment of arrival.
I really liked everything about this picture -- the bride and groom making their appearance, the body language, use of light, sense of place -- it’s got it all.

Beautiful scene that clearly captures the the glory of this amazing setting.
What a setting. This picture almost reminds you of a puzzle you’d put together -- a great rendition of a unique setting for a wedding reception.
Good thinking by the photographer to take this photograph from a distance to allow the structure and the landscape to speak for itself. The diffused, soft light helps to create a mood from another time.

Just an aesthetically beautiful venue, and the photographer captured all of the beauty and ambiance. The composition tells a story, the light all works together – a perfect time of day to mix the daylight and artificial light, and the photographer managed to capture a nice moment of toasting.

The couples in the boats waving to each other as they pass is a nice touch and the bridges and background clearly establish the setting.
This one’s fun and really captures the ambiance of the setting.

One of my very favorite photographs. What a terrific moment, excellent composition and use of light that together capture the ambiance of the place and a child’s perspective of the event.

A fun yet somewhat mysterious photograph. Excellent composition, including the string of lights at the top of the frame and leading us into the frame along the walk. The various colors, dark, empty areas and distance of the subjects combine to lend an air of mystery.

A really nice, straight forward photograph that uses classic composition and a good moment to give a sense of down-home countryside ambiance.

A bit risky but it worked out nicely with the flash.
