The determination of the father, the stress and anguish of the bride, and the positive smile of the lady on the right combine to make this a winner. Others in “weather” have one or two of these elements, but this photograph has it all and is a first place winner.

This bride looks absolutely miserable and you can feel it. Good clean image, and the visible raindrops are nice too. I like how the father's jacket frames the bride's face and leads the eye straight to her expression.

The look on the bride’s face is story telling. The bride is not happy with the rain and the photographer nailed it.

The bride certainly didn't plan for this, as her expression makes clear. But hopefully she found this photo of her parents' (?) gallant attempt to keep her and her dress dry a testament to their love for her.

This photograph has only one element, but it is so strong that others are not needed. The photograph captures the bride’s eyes and those eyes tell her thoughts about the day’s weather. In taking a photojournalist’s approach to covering a wedding, the photographer has to be there rain or shine to tell the wedding day story. I am sure that the photographer is getting wet as he or she is making the photo.

I love the color and tonality here. The woman's face is almost lost, but it's so nice when you find it.

This is a brilliant use of light and raindrops to produce a dramatic photo of a pensive bride.

The guy's eye looking upward really make this picture. But the layering is nice and overall it illustrates the feeling of a dark, cold and wet day. The rain droplets on the camera also add to the feel.

This photo has a good documentary feel to it. Even with the rain, the event goes on.

Great wind picture! Probably not a photograph that the attendees will purchase, but it does show the various ways that each is meeting the challenge of an uncomfortable windy day.

Great face on the woman in the center! I like the wind-blown heads that fill the frame. Getting a little closer would have helped, but you gotta love the scene. It's also nice to see wind as the weather enemy, in contrast to rain.

Nice work. You can truly feel the wind.  The expression of the women in the front row tells it all.

You can feel the heat in this photo as the bride slumps in the chair, hoping for whatever relief the fan can offer. The starkly contrasting shadows and highlights serve to intensify the feeling of suffocating heat.

You not only tell the story of the heat but this image is also beautiful.

I guess the ingenuity of the wedding party gets a great deal of the credit for this photograph, but the photograph does portray the effect of the weather on the wedding day. A good job to be there, stand back and make the picture.

Even in the pouring rain, it made an outstanding photo. Working in the rain is difficult, but this proves it pays off.

The moment makes up for the technical deficiencies of the picture. The inverted umbrella, the dance-like pose of the woman trying to hold on to it and the wonderful expressions of the women watching her make the picture a great addition to the story of the wedding day.
