This image is an excellent combination of peak moment and solid composition. It's complex in the sense that there's a lot going on and there's a lot to see - but it's shot cleanly and it's a very nice moment. I love the bottom layer of people holding their ears to the noise.
The photographer captures the contrast of peak emotion in everyone’s expressions in this photograph to make this a strong photograph.
You can almost hear the men yelling in this photo. Hilarious moment.

I really like some of this image and some of it I don't. It's such a wonderful "almost" moment. Her reaction to the giraffe is wonderful and I love the animals tongue sticking out. It's a great catch, and if the man on the right had a better expression (which is the part I'm lukewarm about), this photo would rise in ranking. That being said, I still like the moment and the fact that it's unusual, which helps it.
Photographer captures a funny unexpected moment that will stay with this couple for a long time after their wedding. Great action shot from above with a clean perspective so that the eye goes right to the reaction of the bride.

I've seen this before, but I still like this image. It's well executed and has a nice emotion to it. There seems to be a lot of joy shown in the image, and it has a quick read, which in this case, is nice. I really like the bouncing back and forth between the moment at the left and her reaction on the right. Good job.
Use of the wide angle gives you a little more intimacy in this funny storytelling moment.

This is a dramatic image that is well composed and has great use of available light. Nice moment between the groom and groomsmen.

Cartier-Bresson would be proud of this candid street image that combines great composition, a great moment and an exotic scene.

I think this is one of the best sports images shot at a wedding I have ever seen. It has peak action, great expressions and is full of energy.
Photographer's Comment
This was a dry wedding during the day. The couple could dance the shag beautifully. But I knew going into this moment that a couple of the bachelors were challenging one another to grab the garter first. I found out after the wedding that the young man catching it in black had caught 7 previous garters! His mom ordered a print of this moment. Because it was a day wedding, the only way to stop the action but keep the natural look of the light was to place strobes in the room. I bounced the light off the ceiling to match the look of the light flooding through the windows at 2 pm in May.

This is one of the best-composed images of the contest. The photographer was able to project the feeling of the situation using the string coming from every direction to bring you into the covered bride and groom.

Good job taking this angle for the going away. Each hand seems to represent one of the boats sailing off in the distance. Nice, moody lighting add a wonderful painterly feeling to this image.

This is a very entertaining image. One can’t help but wonder what’s going on behind the curtain. A crop would really help this image.

This is a clean, solid image. There are parts of this image which are very nice and classic. I love her expression and the light coming from the right. Coupled with the man's expression on the right and this image rises to it's position. What keeps it from rising higher for me is the expression of the people in the background, which detracts from the foreground of the image. Still though, it's a really nice moment and good seeing. It has a great feeling to it.
