1st Place: Dorota Kaszuba from Warsaw, PolandJudges Comments
This was the most unique image in the contest. It truly defines photojournalism. The composition was executed perfectly with the groom in the center framed by the patient bride and Jesus statue on the floor. Also great use of available light.

I'm a sucker for intimate moments that reveal human behavior. This is both intimate and revealing. I love the comforting hand, and the nature of the man's facial feature at center. It's also shot in a way that gives the impression of peering into their lives, completely unaware of the photographer's presence. Solid.

3rd Place: Sunny Tan from Penang, MalaysiaJudges Comments
This is a humorous moment with a dramatic angle used to accentuate the situation.

4th Place: Francesco Survara from Roma, ItalyJudges Comments
Great classic moment, confetti spilling down, the flash of the camera, and solid composition at the peak moment of the kiss. It all comes together. If there's a weakness, it's that it's expected, which is why I don't rank it higher, but still, good execution of the moment. I'm sure the client would love to have this image.

The joy of the bride is so evident in her smile, and her body language lifts the emotional impact of this photograph to the top for me. I love the woman's facial reaction in the center. If there is a weakness it's in the man's reaction at right, but that being said, it's a small weakness that's overridden, in my opinion, by the emotional impact at left. Great work!

All you can say with this one is AAAAH. The photographer obviously has gained the trust of his/her subject to be able to get this candid image on the way out of the church. Very intimate, very touching.

Funny moment of the wedding party in the rain taken from a good perspective giving the viewer a nice feel for the location and mood of the outdoor wedding.

This was a great scene with the surprised bride. Nicely composed.

Very, very well done graphic image. The repeating images of the yarmulkes remind one of the rice kernels that will be thrown after the wedding. Nice lens choice to accentuate the receding dots.

This was a beautiful moment between the bride and groom. His expression makes this image.

This image says pure joy. The bride and groom pop out of the background and their body language says it all. Nicely framed to provide the environment without taking away from the central image.
