1st Place: Daniel Kudish from Quebec, CanadaJudges Comments
After a wedding in the gardens of Old Montreal, this bride dashed into a vintage Italian sports car, just as it started to rain. Kudish caught the bride’s exhilaration as she waved to her guests, with the raindrops, the flowers, and the reflection in the glass adding to the magic.

This bride is having so much fun! The smoky sparklers and dramatic background make for a great contrast to the bride’s radiant expression. A moment of pure bliss within an atmospheric tableau creates a lovely image. Dramatic lighting and peak emotion combined with clean composition come together perfectly. The bride’s unpretentious sweater over her wedding gown adds a sweet simplicity to the photograph.

All of the bride’s emotions are visible in her body language. This is a moment that all brides hope for on their big day. A touching moment as a bride views her reflection on her momentous day. Tighter cropping would have offered more impact and intimacy, bringing the focus more quickly to her expression.
