A very funny picture caused by the juxtaposition of the hairy face on top of the bosomy figure. The contrast is so unexpected and couldn't be more different. This should have been entered in the Humor category. Very strong composition and use of juxtaposition to make a good story/ It could be a tad sharper but still an excellent moment and very well rendered.

The light is radiant, the composition dynamic and powerful. This image is rock solid, creative and very well seen. It tells the story so well. An excellent play on reflection and composition. One image has the mode of transportation, the driver and the church …. Including a moment. If I were at the horse track I just won the tri-fecta! I loved this frame.

Pros: The gesture between bride and the father (I assume) are what make this work. The gesture, though about his appearance, seems rather gentle and loving. Cons: The out of focus headrest at the lower left really distracts, both covering part of the bride and drawing the viewer's attention away. I love this image. The tenderness and gesture of the bride towards her father is revealing of their relationship. This kind of subtle and intimate image requires great reflexes.

The simplicity of the composition and vivid color contributes to the retro feel of this image. Obviously the couple is interested in the retro look, and the photographer has captured that beautifully. A great storytelling image. The photographer has utilized the wide angle effectively, including many of the elements of the day while giving a sense of the character of the event and people.

Very creative use of reflections to combine setting and subject in a very unique way. Well executed.

Pros: The body language/facial expression of the main woman really makes this. The second woman's lack of tension heightens the effect. Cons: The person cut off at the right is really troublesome as he or she is creeping into the image in a way that is not explained/clarified by the way the image is cropped.

Sometimes it pays to back off and see the environment. The mood and feeling of the moment is evident in this picture. I'm not sure if a small amount of fill flash would have helped or hurt the image – perhaps the photographer tried and picked the picture without the strobe?

I loved the campy feel to this wedding getaway photo. I kind of wish it would have been a little wider in scope (shot a little looser) and wished that the photographer had stepped back with a slightly less wide lens to minimize the whole “junk in the trunk†effect on the rear of the car. Cool photo!

The bottom part of the picture does not match the top half of the image – love the top half. It has emotion, action – pizzazz. But the bottom half compositionally gets in the way.

Great use of a reflection to suggest different generations of women. The white vs. dark clothes emphasize the difference.

Nice job of staying with the bride till the very end to catch this moment. I know the out-of-focus door lets us know that she is in the car but it is distracting and prevents the photo from reaching that next level.

Nice job of seeing the composition in a different way. I like the use of dead space and the framing of the bride and driver between the two alert horses.

Pros: The bride's body language and the rim lighting on her face make this work so well, as does the driver's concentration. Cons: The person's hand at lower right and the excessive sun in the window do not help. Why not move to get the sun behind the driver's head?

Magnificent use of color and light to create a beautiful image. The bride looks gorgeous and this quiet moment captures a certain intimacy and interior psychology of the subject.

The joy this couple exhibits poking their heads out the door bears a strong resemblance to the exhilaration a dog experiences while being overwhelmed with the sensory experience. This euphoric photograph conveys their happiness.
