The perfect moment representing the bite of hard liquor. From the framing of the glass being drunk on the left to the framing of the face on the right – this picture elicits a response in me – a humorous moment captured at the right time
This image is a great example of how a quiet but smart image can say so much. I love the composition, the moment, the use of the object in the foreground to set off the people behind. Very sophisticated and well seen. I would have like the people moved slightly over to the left to separate them more from the object in the foreground on the right
A bizarre recreation of the last supper??? Who knows what's going on here but I loved it! All the expressions and moments among the diners are very interesting and it makes me want to know more about the situation. Clean and simple photo using dramatic light to create the mood.
The enthusiasm of the bride for her food and the way she is attacking it make this work, along with skewed angle, which adds to the frenetic feeling. I like the storefronts in the background but the white sky and pick up truck distract.
The way the women are sharing the food and the moment is what works in this incongruous image. The background, while adding some information is actually TOO busy. Less depth of field, shallower focus or a vertical composition to play up the dress and play down the background would have helped.
This is a wacky and incriminating look at the people, but a great moment that reveals the way people can behave around food. The guy on the left is killer and scary. The composition is interesting and the depth of field works quite well.
Again, it all comes down to captured moment for me. The feeling of this chance happening – no presence of the photographer at all is evident in this picture. The girls were acting on their own and the photographer captured the moment.
Pros: The use of a slow speed and the wide angle to show the caterers (and their environment) make this work. Cons: The upper right hand corner with lots of white and the far right caterer being cut off, neither defect helps.
The otherworldly figure, the darker exposure and the high contrast make this a fascinating, if less than typical wedding image. The skewed angle on the meat and the extra space on the far right distract.
