Classic use of composition to make something funny. This is an example of the great use of the visual language of still photography to make a joke. Looks like it could be in an Elliott Erwittt book! Great job of seeing by the photographer. Nice that he/she looked beyond the obvious at this wedding. Could have taken top honors in the musician/dj category too.

Great catch by the photographer! Not so great catch by the guy on the left!

Tight crop and focused whimsical expression make this a hilarious portrait

The expression on the man's face and the concentration make this one work. The overall warm tone/colors humanize it too. I am not sure about the tilted frame. A straight horizon would probably enable the photographer to crop out the black blob in the upper right corner and crop out some of the shoulder on the lower right, which is so bright it draws the viewer way.

Very strong composition, great moment, expresses the humiliation that brides and grooms seem to like to put each other through at these events. But still a sense of good natured fun, not mean. The texture of reflections makes it more than a nice moment.

I certainly hope this isn't a marriage going to the toilet but the humor in the picture is very fun. For those of us who are married or have been married – we can really appreciate the humor in this picture. Nice work seeing this opportunity when it happened.

I just loved her expression. She's reeling him in for the kill! I love the reaction from the groom too. The photographer captured a great little moment

It is a great moment requiring a real sensitivity to the moment and an ability to look beyond the better-established emphasis on facial expressions. The person to the right adds noting and shooting this vertically would probably have played up the woman's arms even more especially the arm on the right that is almost cut off a bit too much.

Love the unexpected contrast between the formality of the dress and the pink tennis shoes.

The attention to the moment, in the subject's face and on the camera screen both make this a great image with multiple levels of information to look at. The space between the two people is so bright it is distracting, as is the sheet of paper on the door to the left of the main character.

This is the invasion of the Ken dolls! Great use of muted color to bring out the sameness of the cloned guys. Very funny expression that still feels natural. The tilted frame enhances the weird feeling of the image.

The expressions on their faces and the bright center of attention rising out of the darkness make this work so well. The curtain folds cutting into the groom's face really hurts, as we can clearly see the bride but barely see the groom.

Great expressions and use of real moment to make a funny frame. Nice, complex composition. Great rendering of what could have been a messy situation.

All I can say about this picture is, “what?†I mean, I can hear the photographer say to themselves, “I've got category 8 locked up this month†the moment they saw this statue at the wedding location. I mean, even the deeper meaning behind the picture...a child larger than life waiting the newly married couple – children will take over your life!

The use of focus and the moment captured conspire to suggest a great 'story' behind the image. Also, without face the story it is suggesting becomes more allegorical and less literally about the two people shown. It would be better as a vertical, to get rid of the white space in the upper right and to show even more of the bride, who contrasts so well with the groom.

Funny moment of self deprecation. Bride looks lovely while groom is silly. Would have liked to see the top and side right of image cleaner, with people either out or more fully in. Still a strong moment of specific humor
