Very whimsical idea to do the portrait in a car. Nice to light up the couple inside and the green glow in the back makes it a very interesting picture. What fun. You look at this image and want to know the story behind the couple and old Fiat. Well executed, though a rim light on top of the car would have separated it from the background, giving it a little more depth.

The use of a nontraditional setting and the degree of successful improvisation combines with the architectural lines to form a unique and appealing image.

A difficult category to judge because there were a lot of really good portraits but none that were that much better than the others. This one won out because of the superb rim lighting and faces lit amply. The color of the background and the narrow focus also helped.

I almost feel like this was a spontaneous, captured moment, but I dont think so. The point is, it totally looks like you happened on them. Very nice. A very romantic, well-conceived moment.

Lovely use of color and the space of the empty chairs.

Another good use of using the reception area for the couple portrait. I loved the incorporating of the paintings behind them.

It has a nice feeling with very relaxed subjects. The way her head is tilted is a nice touch.

This feels more like a car advertisement than a bridal portrait. It is well done and the high angle and attention to detail (car lights on) help as well.

Good use of the strong light to create a wonderful shape with the veil.

Good use of ambient light in background. Angle, pose, and main light are all good, but almost half the frame is blackish sky. A tighter in-camera crop or longer lens would have made this portrait better.

The best of the bridal party portraits. Nice lighting of the sunset and not with everyone all lined up in a row.

Another good use of rim lighting. The profile angle worked well and the photographer did a good job technically by using an appropriate ambient exposure to keep the flame from blowing out.

Delightful mood and lighting combine with the simplicity of strolling down the boulevard to make a very successful image.

She looks like a Russian ballerina, ready for the Bolshoi. Elegant and rich use of light.
